Yap City

“Yap City” was a collage of pop culture, wacky humor, and a curated playlist of music crammed into an unexpected radio show that pushed against what is expected of a typical commentary radio show.

My co-hosts and I stressed the importance of an overall identifiable sound. We valued small details that resulted in a strong comedic impact. An example of this is the unorthodox choice to use overly distorted music as the music bed and messing with VO speed, an homage to old radio ads.

The Sound Exchange

“The Sound Exchange” was my first solo radio show all about exposing listeners to new genres of music brought forth by various guests I invited each week.

Working on “The Sound Exchange” after two seasons of “Yap City” required a stylistic switch. I aimed for this show to be more refined in its overall sound while emphasizing quirky SFX and mixing choices.
